We want a project to feel low-risk and straightforward. This policy explains how cancellation and refunds work alongside our Service Terms. It does not limit rights you may have by law.

Before you approve a project

Recursa may show you a private website preview before requesting payment. You can decide not to proceed at this stage; no payment is due and no refund is needed.

After payment

If you need to cancel after approving a project or making payment, email hello@recursa.co as soon as possible. We will confirm receipt and explain the next steps.

For business clients, any refund will depend on the agreed scope, the stage of work and reasonable costs already incurred. We will always explain the position clearly and work in good faith to reach a fair outcome.

If you are a consumer

If you contract with us as a consumer at a distance, you will usually have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made. You can cancel by sending us a clear statement, including by email. You do not have to use a form.

If you ask us in writing to start providing services during the 14-day cancellation period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied if you later cancel. If the service is fully performed during that period after your express request and acknowledgement, the legal right to cancel may no longer apply. We will ask for the appropriate confirmation before relying on this.

Important: bespoke work does not automatically remove a consumer’s statutory cancellation rights. We will handle any consumer cancellation in line with applicable law.

When something is wrong

If the completed work does not match the agreed scope or has a genuine technical defect caused by us, please tell us promptly at hello@recursa.co. We will investigate and, where appropriate, correct the issue, re-perform the relevant part of the service, or discuss another suitable remedy.

How refunds are made

Where a refund is due, we will normally return it to the original payment method. For consumer cancellations, we will make any required reimbursement within the timescale set by law.

Optional cancellation wording

You can use the following wording if helpful:

To: Recursa, hello@recursa.co I give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of website-design services. Name: Email used for the order: Date of contract: Date:
